Can Flip House see my cameras?
No. Flip House never receives video, audio, or images. The Privacy Engine receives only event signals — timestamps and classifications — through supported integrations.
Do I need new hardware?
No. Flip House is designed to work with supported devices you already own. No new equipment required to get started.
How do I get paid?
Your way. Choose from cash, gift cards, prepaid Visa, utility credits, a charitable donation, or digital currency. Rewards are based on the de-identified signals you approve and the network's rules. Reward mechanisms are being finalized and may evolve as the network grows.
Is my identity shared?
No. Flip House is designed so that personally identifying information is not included in contributed signals. Your contribution is recorded under a pseudonymous contributor ID, while approved organizations receive only aggregated, de-identified insights.
Who receives the aggregated insights?
Approved organizations — such as researchers, universities, utilities, insurers, public agencies, and other authorized commercial or nonprofit organizations — may license access to aggregated, de-identified insights. Individual household data is not sold.
Can I stop participating?
Yes, at any time. You can revoke authorization for any device or the entire network whenever you choose. Your participation is always voluntary.
Who owns my data?
You decide what you contribute. Flip House is designed so that raw personal content never leaves your home. Only de-identified, user-approved event signals participate in the network.
Do I need a crypto wallet?
Only if you want digital-currency rewards. A wallet is optional. Most participants choose cash, gift cards, or utility credits and never need one. If you do want digital currency, a wallet lets rewards be sent directly to you.
